This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit greenenpllc.com, operated by Greenen & Greenen PLLC.
This policy covers this website only. It does not describe how we handle information in the course of the services we provide, or under any agreement we have with you. Those are dealt with separately.
What we collect
Information you give us. The personal information this website collects from you is what you choose to type into our forms:
- Main contact form (/contact/) — asks for: Reason for contacting, Practice area, Name, Email, Phone, Fax, Message, Consent checkbox. Your message is sent to us by email.
- Request a Consultation (/contact-form/) — asks for: Name, Email, Phone, Fax, Subject, Message. Your message is sent to us by email.
- Footer contact form ((footer, site-wide)) — asks for: Name, Email, Phone, Message. Your message is sent to us by email.
Please send only what is needed for us to respond. A website form is not a secure channel, so please do not use it to send sensitive personal information — for example Social Security or other government identification numbers, financial account numbers, or medical records.
Information collected automatically. Our host and our security provider automatically record standard technical information about every request to this site — the IP address it came from, the browser and device, the page requested, the page you came from, and the date and time — in server and security logs used to run the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose faults. This site also runs the analytics described under Who else handles it below. We do not use this to build a profile of you, and we do not combine it with what you send us through the form.
Why we use it
- To read and reply to what you sent us.
- To keep the website secure and to block spam and automated abuse.
- To keep the website working and diagnose faults.
- To understand which pages visitors use, in aggregate.
- To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising or marketing.
Who else handles it
- Our website host. The company that runs the server this website sits on, which necessarily processes traffic to it.
- Our network security and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare). Sits in front of the website to keep it fast and to filter malicious traffic. It processes your IP address to do that.
- Our email provider. Carries the message from the website to our inbox.
- Google (reCAPTCHA). Checks that form submissions come from a person rather than a bot. Google receives your IP address and information about how you interact with the page, and uses it under its own privacy policy.
- Google. Google Tag Manager running Google Ads conversion tracking. No Google Analytics cookie is set on this site. Google receives information about your visit — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser — and uses it under its own privacy policy.
- If the law requires it. We may disclose information where we are legally obliged to, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Cookies
Our use of cookies, and of content embedded from other companies, is described in our Cookie Policy.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There has never been a common standard for what a website should do with it, and this website does not act on it. Some browsers also send a “Global Privacy Control” signal, which some state privacy laws recognize. You can switch off the tracking described above at any time using the cookie controls on this site, and the browser settings in our Cookie Policy.
Do other companies track you across websites through this site?
Yes. This website loads Google’s advertising tags, and those tags are capable of recognizing your browser on other websites that use the same services. We do not control what Google collects that way. Our Cookie Policy lists exactly which cookies are involved and how to switch them off.
How long we keep it
We keep messages sent through this website for as long as we need them to answer your question and to keep a reasonable record of the contact, and then we delete them, unless we are required to keep them for longer. Server and security logs are kept for a short period by our host and our security provider under their own retention schedules.
How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect what you send us, including serving this website over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and limiting access to form messages to the people who need them to answer you. No website or email system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information sent over the internet will never be intercepted.
Asking about, correcting, or deleting your information
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, or to ask us to delete it.
To make a request, use our Contact and begin your message with the words “Privacy request” or write to us at 1104 Main Street, Suite 400, Vancouver, WA 98660. So that we can find your information and be sure we do not hand it to the wrong person, tell us the email address or telephone number you used when you contacted us. We may ask for more information to confirm who you are, and we may decline a request we cannot verify. We will respond within a reasonable time and as applicable law requires, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Apart from the technical records described above, what we hold about a website visitor is the message you sent us. If you ask us to delete it we will delete it, unless we are required to keep it, and a copy may remain in routine backups for a limited period before it is overwritten.
Children
This website is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that someone under 13 has sent us personal information through this website, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please tell us through our Contact.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we make a material change we will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date at the top, and the version on this page is always the current one. Please check back from time to time.
